Listen to this while reading: The Dance Exponents - I'll Say Goodbye
These are my chucks. I know, they look disgusting. But give them a chance; these all-stars have served me well.
I brought them from a store in Melbourne when my Mum, Sister and I were on holiday there in 2005. I took them with me when I went on my OE 3 years later, and they literally travelled the world with me. I wore them across Europe, on the Trans-Siberian Express and through-out China.
However, I am moving house next week, and, sadly, it has come the time to part ways with these shoes. Gone from their pride of place at the ready by the door, they now sit on top of the mountain of other crap I am throwing away, old trousers, ticket stubs, magazines... Nonetheless, they are still on top.
