A Different Angle

UPDATE: O.P.I's 'Glitzerland' undercoat, with Rimmel 'Black Out' tips. Sophisticated yet different!

Listen to this while reading: Nine Inch Nails - Hurt

I've been trying something new with my nails of late by steering away from the '10 fingers 1 colour' that I have been so fond of over the years. I've been choosing two complimentary colours and laying them in different ways. My new favourite tool is a little bit of cellotape - it gives you a perfect straight line and peels off easily and cleanly.

At the moment I'm rocking an OPI 'Cajun Shrimp' undercoat and angles using Rimmel 'Your Majesty' and OPI 'Warm & Fozzie'. These are great summer colours but keep it interesting with the extra tones.
One tip: Try to set aside some time in front of the tele, or watch a film, so your nails have plenty of time to dry!

Here are some other combinations I've tried:

I've since added a teal and a light blue to this splatter, but it ended up looking too messy.  The technique I was using was dipping a straw in the polish and gently blowing the other end.  It does give the desired splatter effect, but not all polishs will play the game!
