Listen to this while reading: Frank Sinatra - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
(Now, I don't usually recommend listening to Christmas songs at any time other than Christmas, but I think it's okay to make an exception just this once, and, just for Frank...)
My new and improved, and might I add festive, nightlight. I had the thought over Christmas that I am entirely obsessed by these twinkly little fairy lights, and then they sit in a box for 11 months of the year. Our family has collected a fair few sets over the years, and I couldn't think of a better way to put them to use.
I roped this set around my window and hung it over the mirror (so the set of 100 lights, now looks more like 150!). They provide just enough light to read my book with, and I can simply lean over and un-plug them when I'm ready to go to sleep - festive, and practical!
